Home Journal - Pumpkin Tea Party
Okay,well...not really tea, but orange juice and there wasn't even a tea set involved. Betty and Bo had me fill up a pumpkin ice mold with orange juice (since orange juice is orange like a pumpkin) and they proceeded to slurp it up with their straws. They enjoyed a couple refills as well. They were happy in their own little silliness and I was happy that they were playing together NICELY and were not destroying things while I got some school done with the olders. :)

Home Journal - Bo's 2!!
HAPPY BIRTHDAY SWEET BOY!!!!!!!!
We celebrated the big day by going to his favorite place for dessert...Well, actually what the older four said was his favorite (even though he'd never been before). You know...that's what happens when you're the youngest.
We had kinda a construction birthday party for him. I used some small, clean construction toys and put them on a batch of brownies. Then I crushed up some Oreo's for the dirt. I used candy corn for construction cones to spell his name. It was pretty cute if you ask me! He wanted his uncle to have the honor of holding the birthday boy as he blew out his candles. Or as uncle blew them out. ;)
He had a grand time opening all his gifts. E and Z were trying to get him to open this present and that and then he had to wait until someone else could get it out of the packaging for him while the others were telling him there's more presents to open. He'd yell, "No!" at them and then they'd try sweetly to lure him back to the task. Then, like he'd heard them for the first time he'd say, "Oh! Otay!" This went on for several rounds. He finally managed to get all his presents unwrapped and sent thank-yous in the general direction of the giver.
This little guy is so special to us in many ways. For being the youngest, he knows his place in the family. To Betty he's pretty much been the enemy that took up too much of mommy's time. But recently she's figured out that he can be a pretty good friend. Thank You, Lord! For the boys, Bo's the little bubba who'll try to do everything they can do. For E, he's a willing dance partner and sometimes stinky charge. During school, he's the class clown. During the rest of the day, he's still the clown! He's daddy's sports watching buddy and he's momma's morning cuddler.
He's not afraid to take a leap of faith.
There is no place too high, too low, too dirty or too small that he will not try to go.
He's all boy, but he's not afraid to show his feminine side...right down to the coy eyes. ;) (I know...he'll hate me for this when he's a teenager. Ha!)
He's a pet lover.
He never wastes his time with little messes. Big and better baby!!
I love ya Big Boy! You're mama's favorite Bo. XOXOXO

Home Journal - "Little" Boy Hat
Bo is now "in" to wearing his "Little" Boy hat meaning his "Larry" Boy hat. He wakes up and wants that hat. In fact, he is wearing right now while he takes his nap! Gotta love it!

Home Journal - Tub-O-Fun
We had one smiley toddler when we filled the bucket up with water for him to splash in. At first he just played, but then he couldn't resist getting in himself. :)

Home Journal - Biker Boy
We were outside one day and Bo wanted his brother's bike helmet and he took my sunglasses from me. He put them both on and quite proudly declared, "Erk, cycle!" which when translated means, "Erik, motorcycle." So here's to you, Mr. Erik from a big fan! :)

School Journal - First Playdough
Not for her...
...for him.
Bo had such a good time with the "dough". It kept him busy for 30 minutes - which is definitely saying something. It probably won't happen again, but it was nice for one day of school. He really liked pushing the rocks into the dough. Then E showed him that she could make a ball with it so now he wants everyone to make balls while he smooshes them with his fingers. :) Great fun!

Home Journal - Fascinating Bugs
Bo is an explorer. He loves the outdoors and plays hard when he gets out, but then when he comes across a bug, he's mesmorized. He will be running at full speed and then notices a bug and he stops dead in his tracks to check the bug out. He has no qualms about picking up one of these fascinating creatures and letting it crawl all over him. Check out this budding scientist as he observes his prisoner.
And then just to get the full "flavor" of the insect, he pops it into his mouth. Oh yes...quite nice.

After this little production, he will proceed to stand on the table and play tether ball with the hanging light! :) Never a dull moment.

Home Journal - Bo School
I thought about titling this post "Tot School", but that really didn't seem to do justice to what this boy gets into learns about in any given day.
This is a rare moment when he does actually look studious. It's a book about birds in our state and he didn't even rip any pages.
After this picture we discussed the importance of protective eye-wear when using heavy equipment.
He learned a long time ago that being outside is fun!
So is getting yogurt all over your face and arms. It's even more fun when you get it all over the table, chair and floor. He's also discovered that Mommy doesn't get angry if he smiles and laughs while he's doing said experiments.
He's learned that markers are yummy to eat. You can suck the juice out of them just like a straw!
Bo also learned that rice is a great medium for digging in, but it also works well as an area rug for the front porch.
What did you learn today?

Home Journal - Spaghetti Tutorial
There is a proper way to eat spaghetti. Did you know that? And it's not rolling the noodles around your fork. That's for wimps. Let Bo show you how to really savor every mouthful and I do mean mouthful. :)
First, get as much spaghetti as you can fit in your fist and shove it in your mouth.
Make a slurping sound and suck up the trailing noodles.
Next, be sure to feel down in your seat and diaper to catch any noodles that may have escaped.
Smile and repeat!
Now go and get your own Italian tonight!
Bo at 17 months.

Home Journal - Bo Bandit
Cowboy Bandit - Toddler Style
Make sure you've got all your cowboy gear on and your trigger finger is ready!
Enlist a partner in crime!
Make sure your victim is good and dead by pounding on his chest over and over all the while crying out in a sinister laugh.

Home Journal - Dirty Laundry
Here's Bo this week doin' what he does best... (You thought this post was going to be about laudry stains didn't you. :))
Lane Frost impersonation (see movie 8 Seconds). After he "helps" Z build his tower, he puts up both arms and waves.
Concentration Tongue
Dirty Laundry - literally. The maid service is so horrible around here, the dirty laundry has to put itself in the washer!

Home Journal - Little Man in a Big Hat
Bo is really into the hats these days. He's almost 16 months and having a high time goofing around and getting into everybody's business. He's starting to say a few words like, "Mo" with a little cluck of his tongue on the end for "milk" and "I" for ice and ice cream. He's still trying to figure out names of people. He points and hits chests, but everybody is either Dada or Nana and it's not always the same for each person (sometimes Daddy can be Nana). He can already run and go up and down the stairs easily. And he loves to give kisses! So Sweet!
